Social Media Project

For our quarter project, I had the opportunity to pick a social media platform and create an account with a specific purpose or theme. Throughout the ten weeks, I maintained a consistent social media presence (2-4 posts weekly) on the platform, and in addition to my social media posts, I produced a proposal and timeline for my account and wrote a 2-3 page final reflective memo on my social media project.

My target audience was primarily a group of people who were passionate about personal wellness. At the beginning of my wellness journey, I found that the community I had become assimilated with encouraged me to be my best self. I wanted to cultivate the same feeling for my followers. Instagram became the best platform for me to connect with a large group of people who shared a common goal of belonging to a community. I took advantage of my social background as a college student, to connect with all types of students around the United States. I built a joined a community of people who learned from each other by being real and honest. My Instagram account attracted an audience that willing to learn and contribute their knowledge about the health and wellness world.
