Poetry Workshop Expansion Project
Erasure Poems
For this workshop expansion project, the class was told to choose 3 short narratives presented in our readings and create erasure poems out of them. For this assignment, we formated them like the pages from a poem we were handed out in class, with the full work and the erasure poem facing each other on the same page (in landscape orientation).
The extension packet includes my poetic work followed by a 3-4 double-spaced page reflection on my process and products vis-à-vis the workshop and other class material. I made sure to integrate the specific readings on narrative in poetry and follow the course style guide.

I have never really been a poet. At least, I never considered myself one, but this assignment showed me I can be one if I want. Although I did not curate these poems from scratch it was fun to experiment with a new way of writing.
